Apostle James H. Davis, Jr.

      Pastor James H. Davis, Jr, was born in Detroit, Michigan; one of four children. He obtained his MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Marshall University. While attending college, he met his wife of 38 years, First Lady Ursula Davis. From this marriage union, there are three children: Ti'tiana, Francswai, and NaTasha, and three grandchildren: Greyson, Kye, and Alannah.

      In 1994, he was licensed as a Minister at Greater Love Tabernacle Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Bishop Clifford Dunlap and served his Pastor faithfully. He was Adjutant to Pastor Dunlap while serving in various capacities in the church such as Junior Sunday School Superintendent, Junior  Deacon, Men's Chorus, Men's Prayer Group, Men's Day President, and the Prison Ministry Chaplain.

       In 1997, he was ordained as an Elder by the late Bishop C.L. Anderson, Jr. of the Great Lakes Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Michigan. He served Bishop Dunlap until his Pastoral call to Huntington, WV. During his tenure in West Virginia, Pastor Davis established a Campus Ministry at Marshall University's Campus Christian Center. He was the first African American Pentecostal representation working in the Campus Christian Center in an Ecumenical collaboration with affiliated churches. The Campus Ministry, CCM was dedicated to the students at Marshall University to help provide spiritual support, wise counseling, and encouragement. CCM also provided Worship service, bible study, Lunch-for-a-buck, abstinence support groups, and financial assistance.

       Pastor Davis is also a Christian counselor who has been instrumental in guiding couples with his practical approach and years of experience regarding family matters. His business acumen is extensive in the area of entrepreneurship.

​

      For the past 30 years, Pastor Davis has been a dedicated faithful Christian man who loves the Lord very much!  He preaches the gospel message with fervency and  Power!

       First Lady Ursula Davis was born in Detroit, Michigan; one of three children. She obtained a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Phoenix, a Bachelor of Arts Degree, and an Associates Degree in Management Technology from Marshall University.  She is the wife of Pastor Davis, mother of their three beautiful daughters, and the Nana of their three precious grandchildren.

​

        First Lady Davis is a licensed Evangelist Missionary in the Church of God in Christ. She is also a savvy businesswoman, entrepreneur, authoress, and conference facilitator. First Lady Davis works diligently by her husband's side and has always been a faithful supporter. She loves the Lord with all her heart and she also ministers the word of God.

 

       First Lady Davis loves educating and nurturing children. She was led by the Spirit of God to homeschool her children. She successfully homeschooled her children and they have consistently excelled academically. She has never looked back and possesses this, 'unwavering faith in God's provision and protection!' Pastor Davis said, "If you can reach the children you can teach them, and if you can teach the parents you can reach them."

​

       Her desire is that all men would come into the knowledge of the truth. She believes that men should always pray and not faint, and ultimately, the word of God is the answer to all of your problems.
